A Design in Harmony with Nature
Mira Earth Studios is a testament to thoughtful, nature-focused design. Conceived by Nicaraguan architect Juniette Bermudez, the studios are constructed using rammed earth, a technique that involves compacting soil collected from the site to form thick, thermally efficient walls. This method not only anchors the buildings in the surrounding landscape but also provides natural insulation, keeping the interiors cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
Each studio is topped with a green roof, cultivated with native plants, which not only enhance the aesthetic appeal but also contribute to the site’s environmental sustainability. These green roofs blend the structures into the rolling hills of Valle de Guadalupe, creating a visual continuity between the man-made and the natural world. The result is a serene, immersive environment that feels as though it has always been a part of the landscape.
Interiors that Marry Luxury with Simplicity
The interiors of Mira Earth Studios are designed to offer a retreat from the everyday, combining simplicity with luxury. Each studio features a king-sized bed, a living area, and a kitchenette stocked with locally sourced products. The rammed earth walls, with their natural texture and warmth, provide a grounding element that contrasts beautifully with the modern amenities.
Guests can unwind in their private jacuzzi or infrared sauna, or enjoy an evening by the gas firepit under the expansive night sky. For those who prefer a more digital form of relaxation, the studios are equipped with projectors and Chromecast, allowing for a personalized movie night in the comfort of your room. Built-in Sonos speakers and a comprehensive minibar, including local wines and pre-bottled cocktails, further enhance the experience.
